Two of our hot tub lodges, Chestnut and Dragonfly, are accessible accommodation both with ramp access, a large wet room, wider doorways and living space designed for wheelchair users.

Our Stable and Holly cottages are also designed with accessibility in mind. Entrance ramps, plenty of space for wheelchair access and wet room shower facilities are all in place to help less able bodied guests.

Each of the lakes have disabled fishing platforms that are double width with a front bar for added safety, pictured below. These swims will also be great for families with younger children, but priority will be given to wheelchair users who will be able to book and reserve a platform. There is also an accessible children’s play area.

We have always had a mobility scooter that we lent out to any guest that needed a little extra help around the site, but it could only cope with the main pathways and struggled to cope with the ground conditions around the lakes. We’ve now invested in an all-terrain Tramper that will help any guest needing a mobility aid to access all areas of Kingslakes. The Tramper can carry up to 32 stones in weight, will tow a small trailer for tackle and can really help everyone enjoy all that our beautiful countryside has to offer.
